Cost of living in Australia

Sadly, services are not for free in Australia, you still have to pay for your electricity, internet, phone, mobile and if you're living in a house you have to pay for water as well, most bills can be paid online via a government initiative known as Bpay so you'll never need to worry about waiting in long queues or such … come to think of it, you never wait in queues in Australia.. except when you have to go to your bank in person or when you're doing your shopping in one of the large department stores.

Average cost of bills in Australia

Bills don't cost much in Australia (of course it depends on how you use things but roughly the phone lines cost about $50 including the line rentals, electricity is about the same (but bills come every 3 months) and of course the mobile phone bills depend on your usage.

Don't despair and think that services cost much in Australia, that's not right, it might be right if you convert it into your own currency, but bills really cost a very small percentage of your income, so cheer up; your on the right track!
