Australia as a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural country

Australia is very... let me say that one more time VERY multiethnic, almost every single country in the world has contributed to the population of Australia, and it is one of the finer joys in life to just stroll in the various regions and suburbs each with its own flavour and heritage.

Examples of multi ethnic cultures in Australia

For example in Sydney, the city has a huge Asian population while the west has more Arabs and North Africans and the north east is more Jewish. Melbourne has more Greeks than most cities in Greece itself!

This can be truly felt in the incredible mixture of restaurants all over the country, Italian, Mexican, Lebanese, Chinese, Thai, Lao, Portuguese, French and of course true Aussie!

Advice on interacting with different people in Australia

Once you start your life in Australia you will meet many people from all these countries and more, some will be wonderful and some won't be that great, I would suggest not to base any assumptions on people's origins and just to try to treat them as who they are …as human beings.
