Cooking & buying food in Australia

If you're worried that you're going to miss the dishes you used to cook (or someone used to cook for you) back home when you're in Australia, fear no more!

Because you can find almost everything in Australia, I was surprised to find molokheya just two days after I landed in the country!

Australian restaurants

It depends on where you're going to stay, some suburbs have Greek grocers, some Egyptian, some Lebanese etc and those should surely have what you're after.

On the other hand if you don't know anything about cooking that's alright too, Australia has some of the best restaurants and chefs from all over the world, and most are very cheap, if you like to be adventurous with what you eat then I promise you lots of fun in Australia, most commercial streets and food courts have a great mixture of Japanese, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Turkish, Lebanese as well as fast food restaurants, you usually select your choices and you can choose to whether have it on the spot or take away.

Australian food

Australians are famous for their love of barbeques (or barbies) those are usually held on weekends and neighbors or friends and family are invited, most communities do them too and all you're required to bring is just yourself and a smile J
