I have some questions about the visa Subclass 496.
One of my friends got an Australian visa Subclass 496,
He has already made he first visit july this year and returned back, because he is doing a business here and he has not closed it down yet. He has to go back to Australia and get a PR.
1) What is the validity of the Visa Subclass 496?
2) What is the procedure to get the PR in Australia after he entered again to Australia?
3) What is the dead line he should enter again to Australia to get the PR with this present Visa?

Please reply my question, because he is struggling with the dead line to close down his business here.

If your friend hold a Skilled - Designated Area Sponsored (Provisional) visa (subclass 496) and he need more time to meet the residence and/or employment criteria for a permanent visa, he can apply for a Skilled – Regional Sponsored (Provisional) visa (subclass 487), which will extend his provisional visa for a further 12 months.
