Hi,

My partner is Irish and currently living in Ireland (we have been apart for the last 5 months), we have been together for over 2 years and have lived in both Ireland and Australia together.

We are planning on getting married in December this year and I've had a look at the visa information and to be honest I find it very overwhelming.

AS we are planning a wedding (having one ceremony in Australia and one in Ireland) we were looking for the most cost effective way to get his visa, would it be possible for him to enter Australia on a tourist visa and then we marry, then apply for the marriage visa while he is still in the country?

Any other tips anyone could provide me with would be great as I really am feeling lost.
