Having looked at the job code you mentioned, I cannot imagine why the Agent here did not suggest this, it is more in line with my qualifications and experience than the program administrator one that they suggested I use. I will re-explore my options with that in mind.
In the meantime I will ask my family over there to advise me of any jobs in my field that they see advertised, and I will research the student visa options available.
