About renting a home in Australia
Renting properties in Australia is the easiest and cheapest method to solve the accommodation problem. You can find a suitable 2 or 3 bedroom house in any area you like in Australia in less than two weeks. The only down side for renting is that you wouldn't own the property after any time so it's not a good investment.
Properties and real estate in Australia
There are several options of homes in Australia: House, which could be one or two levels and usually has a front and back yard. A unit or a flat in short buildings normally 2 to 3 levels. Townhouse which is smaller than a house and is two levels. Usually 5 or 6 townhouses are built in the same block. A duplex is two houses built on the same land with a shared wall. A villa is like a townhouse except its only one level.
Prices of renting properties in Australia
Prices vary from one area to another depending on the type properties, for example if you live in Sydney’s west your rent would be around $180 to $250 a week for a house which is not very expensive in comparison to the average Australian salary or weekly wages, so don't freak out!!
If you would like to live around the downtown area you would be looking at about $600 a week. Now you may freak J but it all depends on how much you will be getting paid.
