“Australians apparently love shopping!” was my first impression after I saw the tremendous number of small shops and large shopping centres they got here, to make things even worse – or better if you’re a girl reading this - they enjoy shopping online as well.
Operating hours for shopping centers in Australia
Australia has a late night shopping each Thursday where all the shops and the shopping centres stay open from approximately 9am till 9pm and its usually a very busy night and many people gets their shopping done after work. Australians -according to the type of work they do- could finish 5 or 6pm and that’s why Thursday night is a very busy shopping night. For the rest of the week shops and shopping centres close by 5pm. on Saturday’s shops open at 8 am and close by 4pm, Sunday shops opens at 9am and close by 4pm.
Department stores in Australia
There are some big department stores in Australia such as Big W, K mart, Target and many more. These big departments have everything you can ever need from clothes, shoes, food, cosmetics, appliances, toys and much more. There are also separate department stores for warehousing, tools, garden backyard care as well as outdoor furniture.
Grocery shopping in Australia
Big grocery shopping stores open at 7am till 10pm on weekdays and till 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Grocery stores sell everything the house needs from food and drink to cups, plates and bathroom care.
