Weekdays and weekends in Australia

What's the fuss about weekdays in Australia?

If you compare weekdays in Australia to most other countries you will find that Australia has a very limited social life between Monday and Friday, after 6pm there are rarely people in the streets, most shops are closed and in general Aussies like to relax after a long hard day at work in front of the television, life on some nights can get so boring that I think if some country ever decides to invade Australia it will select to do so on a weekday night!.

In many other countries people are used to partying all the time and staying up late or - like in Egypt - friends meet up after work and go out to any place to hang out or just to have some fun, this is - in general - not the case in Australia.

So how are weekends in Australia?

Let's just say that Australians like to work hard and party harder, parties start on Friday night everywhere, pubs, homes parks etc and lots of fun is involved. Almost all birthdays, weddings and anniversaries are celebrated also during the weekend, and you'll find that in many times you'll be invited to two occasions at the same time so you might want to invest in a good personal organizer :)
